Professional Experience
Dr. Ana Laura Magaloni Kerpel is a research professor at the Legal Studies Division of CIDE and a Level 2 member of the National System of Researchers.
She holds a Ph.D. in Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a Law degree from ITAM. She has been a visiting researcher at Harvard University’s European Law Research Center and a visiting professor at the International and Comparative Law Research Center at the University of California, Berkeley. She also completed studies at the Judicial Specialization Center of the Supreme Court of Justice.
From 2000 to 2005, she directed the Law Teaching Reform Program, which, in collaboration with Stanford Law School and Universidad Diego Portales in Chile, designed and implemented a new pedagogical model for legal studies at CIDE. She is currently a member of the Advisory Board of Impunidad|Cero and the Consultative Council of Mexicanos Contra la Corrupción y la Impunidad A.C.
