Career
Pedro Haces Barba has been active in politics since 1981 as a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), where he served as a political advisor in Mexico City and chaired the Finance Committee of the State Steering Committee in 2013.
He held the position of Undersecretary in the former Ministry of Fisheries. As a union leader, he serves as Secretary General of the National Union of Private Security Workers, Cash Transport, Security Equipment Manufacturing, Cleaning, and Maintenance Workers of Mexico, as well as Secretary General of CATEM.
Haces Barba was a Senator of the Republic through proportional representation for the National Regeneration Movement (MORENA). He chaired the Communications and Transportation Committee and the Radio, Television, and Cinematography Committee and was a member of the Labor and Social Welfare Committee and the Mining Committee.
On August 28, 2024, he was appointed Political Operations Coordinator for the MORENA Parliamentary Group in the Chamber of Deputies during the LXVI Legislature.
