    Oscar De La Vega is an employment and labor law attorney with over 30 years of experience and leadership in the sector. His practice is focused on labor litigation and consulting for major multinational companies, and developing and implementing successful strategies in collective labor. He was one of the most influential labor experts involved with amending the New Mexican Labor Law Act, a reform to the Federal Labor Law that had not seen such significant changes in more than 40 years.

  • Ricardo Martínez Rojas.

    With more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Ricardo Martinez Rojas specializes in labor law and social security, focusing on labor negotiations and company restructuring. His experience and expertise in local and international legislation includes providing major national and transnational companies with consulting services on matters ranging from hiring employees to labor litigation and at the highest level. He is also a Professor at the Universidad Anahuac, where he teaches Business Law to Juris Doctorate Students and is also a Labor Law professor at Escuela Libre de Derecho.

    • En 1994: Contralor General Corporativo de Petróleos Mexicanos.
    • En la Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes: Oficial Mayor de 1995 a 1996; Subsecretario de Comunicaciones de 1996 a 1998; y Presidente de la Comisión Federal de Telecomunicaciones de 1998 a 1999.
    • De 1999 a 2000: Subsecretario de Comunicación Social en la Secretaría de Gobernación.
    • 2001: Socio Fundador de la firma Javier Lozano y Asociados, S.C., especializada en consultoría orientada a proyectos vinculados con la tecnología y regulación en materia de telecomunicaciones, manejo y estrategia de medios de comunicación.
    • De 2003 a 2005: Representante del Gobierno del Estado de Puebla en el Distrito Federal y Coordinador General de la Comisión de Transparencia en la Prestación de los Servicios Públicos del Estado de Puebla.
    • De 2006 a 2011: Secretario del Trabajo y Previsión Social en el Gobierno del Presidente Felipe Calderón Hinojosa.
    • De 2012 a 2018: Senador de la República por el Estado de Puebla; (Presidente de la Comisión de Comunicaciones y Transportes; Secretario de la Comisión de Trabajo y Previsión Social; Secretario de la Comisión de Cultura e integrante de la Comisión de Radio, Televisión y Cinematografía, de la Comisión de Defensa Nacional, de Puntos Constitucionales, Relaciones Exteriores para Europa; Presidente de la Comisión de Cultura y miembro de la Comisión Permanente.
    • De febrero a agosto de 2017: Jefe de la Oficina del Gobernador del Estado de Puebla, Antonio Gali Fayad.
    Otras Actividades

    • Actualmente, colabora como articulista en el periódico El Universal y en el portal electrónico SDPnoticias.com.
    • Ha participado como consultor y estratega en equipos de precampaña, campaña constitucional y equipos de transición de Felipe Calderón, (coordinador del war room) y Tony Gali (coordinador general de la campaña) así como en la campaña de José Antonio Meade (vocero).
    Dentro de sus Actividades académicas

    • Cursó estudios profesionales de piano en el Conservatorio Nacional de Música de 1981 a 1985.
    • Asimismo, fui fundador y primer Presidente del Instituto del Derecho de las Telecomunicaciones (IDET).

    Carl Peterson is a partner of the firm and since his call to the bar in 1984, he has worked in all areas of labour law with special expertise in the construction industry and health and safety litigation. In addition to defending employers against health and safety charges, he has been active in developing policies and seminars for employers to prevent accidents and avoid litigation.

    Carl has a great deal of experience in assisting non-union and union employers develop positive employee relations and employee empowerment programs and has drafted a number of policies and conducted several seminars in this new and interesting area.

    John L. Sander is a Principal and Co-Practice Leader of the International Employment Issues Practice Group in the New York office of Jackson Lewis P.C. whose practice focuses on cross-border labor and employment matters for our multinational clients. He is also Adjunct Professor of Law in Global Labor and Employment Law at Cornell Law School.

    Before joining the firm, Mr. Sander served in senior in-house roles for more than 16 years at Merck & Co., Inc. and its predecessor, Schering-Plough Corporation. At Merck, he was Vice President and Associate General Counsel, leading the team responsible for labor and employment law matters outside the U.S. Before the merger of Merck and Schering-Plough, he was Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Schering-Plough, where he managed the employment law group, responsible for labor, employment, and immigration counseling and litigation within the U.S. and globally. At Schering-Plough, he also, at various times served as head of commercial litigation (responsible for product liability, Lanham Act, a wide variety of general commercial litigation and international arbitrations) and as general counsel to the consumer healthcare and generic divisions of the company, as well as managed the compliance and corporate security functions within the law department.
